The social security cell (SSC) of the Pune police'scrime brancharrested TV actor Azhara Jan (21), alias Zara, from Jammu and Kashmir and spot boy Neeraj Bhadani (27), an Andheri resident, for allegedly running a high-profile prostitution racket at a five star hotel in Pune. The duo was arrested from a five star hotel on Raja Bahadur Mill road, on Saturday afternoon.
"The duo targeted affluent customers.Zara charged Rs 1.5 lakh per hour for her services,” said inspector Bhanupratap Barge. Bhadani acted as the agent who arranged for the customers and booked hotel rooms. Zara reportedly acted in the TV serial Kasauti Zindagi Ki and in the Bollywood movie Lamhaa.
The police believe that the two operated in big cities for the last two years. They also suspect that more people from the television and film industry are involved in the racket.
