Bigg Boss Symonds eyes funny Leone

Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds has been a familiar celebrity in cricket obsessed India but his self confessed attraction towards this country is not the only reason he is looking forward to his stay in the Bigg Boss 5 house, which he enters as a special guest on Thursday.

Symonds, 36, looks forward to living life the Indian way for the first time while he is in the house. "I am going to live with Indians, which I have never done before. I will get to learn a bit about your culture first-hand during the stay. I have a special connect with India as this country has always been very good to me," he said.

"Cricket is a game that requires me to be very serious while I play it. Bigg Boss is a game where I can afford to be relaxed. I purposely avoided watching the show because I don't want to enter the house with set prejudice about any housemate," he said. He said he would love to teach the housemates some cricket. "I do not mind teaching the Bigg Boss contestants some cricket if they allow me to take my bat and ball inside." He added that it will be a relief to spend some time without a phone.

The bigger challenge, for Symonds will be staying locked in a house. "I am an outdoor person. The toughest part lies in the fact that the game doesn't even let you go for a walk," Symonds said. Often accused of racism on field, Symonds said this could be a chance to reveal his real self. "I am not going to the show to correct perceptions. I just want to let people know the real me. I am happy with the way I am."

Of course, we had to ask him about porn star Sunny Leone, the other foreign celeb currently on the show." I am not offended by her choice as a contestant. I will get to know her and hope she is a fun girl. We can enjoy our stay together," he grins, adding that if he had a choice he would take Rohit Sharma inside the house because the Indian batsman "is a fun person to be with and a good friend". While he dismisses his famous spat with Harbhajan Singh saying "we sat and sorted it out and it is over now", Symonds seemed concerned about Yuvraj Singh's lung problem.
